How extraordinary! I had never before seen a painting showing the tight rope between the top of St. Mark's campanille and the Doges' Palace where the anual flight of the Angel took place! The flight of the Angel was part of the opening ceremony of the Carnival festivities in Venice for centuries: an acrobat went down on the rope between the tower and the palace. Always learning from you!
